Vegan Life meets… Victoria Featherstone-Pearce

You will likely recognise Victoria Featherstone-Pearce as the writer behind our fabulous cruelty-free fashion pages. But as well as being a stellar writer and fashionista, model and influencer Victoria is co-founder, director and trustee of vegan charity K-9 Angels. The wonderful voluntary organisation works tirelessly to rescue and rehome stray and abused dogs around the world, all the while running their spay and neuter campaign. We catch up with Victoria to find out more about her journey to veganism and her efforts to help innocent dogs escape a life of cruelty.

Hi, Victoria! When and why did you first become vegan?

I became vegan overnight aged 33, that was over 17 years ago now! I went along to a talk that the vegan charity Viva! was holding. The talk was given by well-known scientist and Viva! founder Juliet Gellatley and was on the subject of ‘The dark side of dairy’. I couldn’t believe that I’d gone through most of my life as a vegetarian and had simply not known how much cruelty there is within the dairy industry.
