Stock show gets the year off to great start

OXFORD 1910 CBS

THE Bill Jackson stock show took place on February 12. Despite the ongoing concerns about Covid-19, there were 108 birds benched on the day. This was up from 78 in 2020; the last time this show was held. Well done to all members and especially the 14 exhibitors for showing their support on the day.

It was great to see the numbers of British birds entered and put in front of our judge for the day, G. Bradbrook. After much consideration, he placed a siskin entered by Geoff Cox in first place. Bradbrook also judged the canary section, which has the largest number of entries benched. This meant the well-presented, unflighted (UF) clear buff hen Fife of Bob Honey
