Auckland's wild west coast beaches and the rainforests of the Waitakere Ranges are a welcome counterpoint to the sparkling blue waters of the city's eastern shores, and here you'll find everything from windswept beaches and languid lakes to hiking trails, waterfalls and restaurants. Muriwai
