The search

I went secondhand clothes shopping the other week with my friend Nick, a poet. He was looking for a T-shirt. I was looking for anything, because when you are in a secondhand clothes shop you have to be open to it all. As John Lennon supposedly said, “Life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans.” What he meant was that a great pair of pants could be right in front of you when you’re looking for a T-shirt.
