A whopping 35 years is an amazing run for any motorcycle, and one that Kawasaki’s KLR650 adventure bike can be extremely proud of. It was launched way, way back in 1987, then underwent a massive upgrade for the 2008 model before finally being discontinued in 2018. But not for long!

Kawasaki knew the KLR was too popular a machine to let go, so last year new KLR650 and KLR650 Adventure models were launched, and that new Adventure variant is tested in this issue. Clubby tells me the new KLR carries on exactly where the old model left off by being LAMS approved, rock-solid reliable and brilliant value for money at just over $11,000 ride-away with some handy extras over the stock model.
