Boats and harbours in gouache

ouache is ideally suited for rapid, small work or sketches. The equipment needed is minimal and highly portable: a sketch pad, prepared boards, four or five colours and a couple brushes are all you need. It’s worth bearing in mind that, as the drying time is almost immediate, it may be beneficial to work small in hot weather conditions. However, unlike acrylics, dried paint on the palette can still be used by rewetting it at any time. There is never any waste when painting with gouache!
