A SITE FOR EVERYONE
CAMPSITES, MUCH LIKE the people (and vehicles) populating them, come in all shapes and sizes and to suit all tastes.
There are large sites with more creature comforts and facilities than you can shake a kebab stick at, and tiny places amounting to little more than a patch of grass and a composting toilet.
There are campsites close to popular attractions and others in the middle of nowhere. Some sites have rules you need to follow, others just let you pitch up and get on with it. With such a huge variety, choosing the right site for you can be a bit daunting.
A good place to start is deciding where you’d like to go and what you wish to do while there. Do you want to be close to historic sites, or somewhere you can enjoy nature? Would you prefer organised activities or a quiet, no-frills site? Let us guide you around the types of campsite to be found, so you can choose the perfect pitch.
