Jimmer and I set off up the hill, while the others head down to jump on the uplift. I’ve managed to hustle a Vitus e-bike for the day; Jimmer hasn’t been so fortunate, but has got his hands on a tow-rope. The trail to the top is named Beast of Burden, and that’s exactly how I feel, lugging my heavy camera bag. So, I’m not thrilled by the idea of straining under his weight, too, even with the assistance of a motor. Thankfully, he’s clearly had his Weetabix, and conquers the first climb unassisted.
