Diane McCormack says The Glasgow Girl is part memoir, part her mother’s story and part fantasy. As the oldest of four, her young brothers always expected her to know more about their parents than they did and often urged her to write the story. Having started she realised that all of their memories and their ‘truth’ differed so she allowed her imagination free rein.
Diane has written another women’s fiction novel and a children’s novel which she would like to develop into a trilogy.
