Recently someone asked me that age-old question – ‘where do you get your ideas?’
‘It’s hard,’ I replied.
‘Sometimes I have to make up fictional characters to ask me questions, thus stimulating a topic for debate.’
‘Hang on… are you saying…?’
‘I’m afraid you only exist in my imagination.’
‘But I feel so… I mean, I’m a real person. With feelings! Dreams!’
‘Well, I’m a very good writer. What can I say?’
