If there were one word to sum up Olympic champion Adam Peaty, it would be “fast”.

A torpedo across the swimming pool, he stunned spectators with his victories in Tokyo last year, including becoming the first British swimmer to retain an Olympic title when he won the 100m breaststroke.

But it would appear “fast” doesn’t only describe the 27-year-old Staffordshire-born Olympian in the water: he and his artist girlfriend Eirianedd Munro, 24 – known as Eiri – fell in love, moved in together and welcomed their son George within a year of meeting each other.
