CROATIA CALLING
Our next destination is Trogir. During the voyage, the wind increases rapidly, as it often does round here, until it is blowing a constant Force 5, gusting 6. Thankfully, it is coming from astern making for a relatively comfortable ride, but the boats punching into the wind have to endure a much more torrid time.
Trogir is a popular port of call and we are lucky to get a berth at all let alone the prime one we get alongside a floating pontoon instead of the usual stern-to arrangement. From our aft deck we have an unobstructed view of the old town and the fortress of Kamerlengo. We’re not usually the type to post pictures and videos on social media showing the world what mundane feats we have just accomplished but here we can’t resist uploading three videos of the view in the afternoon, evening and morning. It is astonishingly beautiful and when we wander into town the following day, it more than lives up to the promise it offers from afar.
