My family migrated to Adelaide from Italy when I was only three years old. My first recollection of drawing was at the beginning of primary school. Due to my language barrier, I spent a lot of time on my own – drawing and decorating my books during lunch breaks.
I can still remember my first sketch of a tree. I was so proud; I didn’t think anyone could draw one better.
