Content: 70% organic cotton, 30% recycled polyamide.
50 g = 125 m.
10 (11) balls – col 2 Ecru
Knitting needles:
Size 5½ and 6½mm
Circular needle size 5½mm ( 50 cm)
Crochet hook:
Size 4 mm
Tension: 18 sts and 33 rows = 10 x 10 cm in main patt on size 6½mm needles.
When only one figure is given, it applies to both sizes.
Selvage stitches: On every row:
SI first st kwise, k last st.
Rib patt: K2, p2.
St st: K on RS, p on WS.
Main pattern: Work according to chart A. Numbers at right edge of chart indicate RS rows, numbers at left edge of chart indicate WS rows. On all WS rows not shown on chart, purl all sts and yos or work according to chart key.
Work to patt rep, work 14 sts between arrows for patt rep, work to end of chart.
Work rows 1 – 66 once, then rep rows 11 – 66.
Neckband: Work according to chart B. Numbers at right edge of chart indicate rounds. Work all rounds from right to left. Work patt rep between arrows around. Chart shows 3 patt reps.
Work rounds 1 – 13 once.
BACK
With size 5½ mm needles cast on 78 (94) sts.
Next row (WS):
Selvage st, p1, * k2, p2; rep from * to last 4 sts, k2, p1, selvage st. Work in rib patt as set by last row for a total of 23 rows and piece meas 7cm from cast-on, increasing 9 (7) sts evenly across last WS row = 87 (101) sts.
Change to size 6½mm needles. Work chart A for 90 rows = 27cm.
Place marker in first and last st on last WS row to indicate beg of armholes.
Cont to foll chart A for 64 (66) rows and piece meas 19 (20) cm from armhole markers.
Shape shoulders and neck Work in St st across all sts and at each shoulder edge, cast off 9 (10) sts 1 time, 8 (11) sts 2 times at beg of row. At same time, on 2nd RS shoulder cast-off row, shape neck as foll: Cast off center 33 sts.
Working each side separately, cast off 2 sts at each neck edge 1 time. No sts rem.
FRONT
Work same as back until 34 (36) rows = 10.5 (11.5)cm have been worked from armhole markers.
Shape neck Next row (RS): Cast off center 11 sts.
Working each side separately, cast off 4 sts at each neck edge 1 time, 3 sts 1 time, 2 sts 1 time, 1 st every 4th row 3 times, 1 st every 6th row 1 time and when same length as back to shoulders, shape shoulders same as for back. No sts rem.
SLEEVES
With size 5½mm needles cast on 34 (38) sts.
Next row (WS): Selvage st, p1, * k2, p2; rep from * to last 4 sts, k2, p1, selvage st.
Work in rib patt as set by last row for a total of 13 rows and piece meas 4 cm from cast-on, increasing 1 st at end of last WS row = 35 (39) sts.
Change to size 6½mm needles.
With patt centered over sleeve [see dbl arrow at bottom edge of chart], work chart A and shape sleeve as foll: Increase 1 st at each end of chart row 7, then every 6th row 17 times = 71 (75) sts.
Work increased sts into main patt. Work even until 122 rows = 37 cm have been worked from end of rib patt.
Loosely cast off all sts.
FINISHING
Pin pieces to measurements and block. Sew shoulder seams.
Neckband: With size 4mm crochet hook, work 1 round of 104 dc around neck edge. Fasten off. With size 5½mm circular needle and RS facing, pick up and k 1 st in each dc = 104 sts.
Place beg of round marker and join for working in rounds.
Work rounds 1 – 13 of chart B.
Cast off all sts, ptog slipped st with its yo(s).
Sew on sleeves between markers.
Sew side and sleeve seams.

Maintaining purl garter selvage, work half-brioche rib according to chart until piece meas 9cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row.
Change to size 4mm needles.
Next row (RS): Work in St st including selvage sts, increasing 11 sts evenly across row = 124 (132) 140 (148) sts. Cont in St st until piece meas 34cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row.
Shape armholes:
Bind off 5 (5) 6 (6) sts at beg of next 2 rows, 3 sts at beg of next 4 (4) 6 (6) rows, 2 sts at beg of next 4 (6) 4 (6) rows, 1 st at beg of next 6 (6) 6 (6) rows = 88 (92) 96 (100) sts.
Work even until armhole meas 20 (21) 22 (23)cm, ending with a WS row.
Shape shoulders:
At each shoulder edge bind off 4 (5) 5 (5) sts 1 time, then 4 sts 1 time and 5 sts 3 times (then 5 sts 4 times) then 5 sts 2 times and 6 sts 2 times (then 6 sts 4 times) = 42 sts. Cast off all sts.
Pocket lining
With size 4mm needles cast on 21 sts.
Work in st st for 8cm, ending with a WS row.
Place sts on holder, cut yarn.
FRONT
Work same as back until piece meas 9cm from cast on, working last WS row as foll: Purl garter selvage, work chart over next 68 (74) 80 (86) sts, cast off next 21 sts for pocket opening, work chart over next 22 (24) 26 (28) sts, purl garter selvage.
Change to size 4mm needles.
Next row (RS): Work in St st over first 23 (25) 27 (29) sts, with RS of pocket lining facing, k21 of lining, work in St st to end of row and at same time, increase 11 sts evenly across row = 124 (132) 140 (148) sts. Cont in St st until same length as back to armholes.
Shape armholes same as for back = 88 (92) 96 (100) sts. Work even until piece meas 51 (52) 53 (54)cm from cast on, ending with a WS row.
Shape neck:
Next row (RS): Cast off center 16 sts. Working each side separately, bind off 3 sts at each neck edge 2 times, 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 3 times and when same length as back to shoulders, shape shoulders same as for back. No sts rem.
SLEEVES
With size 6mm needles loosely cast on 67 sts.
Change to size 3½mm needles. Next row (WS): Purl garter selvage, * k1, p1; rep from * to last 2 sts, k1, purl garter selvage.
Maintaining purl garter selvage, work half-brioche rib according to chart and shape sleeve as foll: Inc 0 (1) 1 (1) st at each end of -- (41st) 25th (19th) row, then every 0 row 0 times (then every 40th row 1 time) then every 24th row 3 times (then every alt 16th and 18th row 5 times) = 67 (71) 75 (79) sts.
Work increased sts into patt. Work even until piece meas 30cm from cast-on, ending with a WS row.
Shape sleeve cap:
Cast off 5 sts at beg of next 2 rows, 2 sts at beg of next 4 (4) 4 (4) rows, 1 st at beg of next 8 (12) 14 (16) rows, [work 2 rows even bind off 1 st at beg of next 2 rows] 5 (5) 5 (5) times, then bind off 1 st at beg of next 6 (10) 12 (14) rows, 2 sts at beg of next 6 (4) 4 (4) rows.
Cast off rem 13 sts.
FINISHING
Pin pieces to measurements and block. Sew shoulder seams.
NECKBAND
With size 3½mm circular needle, pick up and k 113 sts evenly around neck edge.
Place beg of rnd marker and join for working in rnds.
Work st st in rnds (k every rnd) for 3cm.
Using size 6mm circular needle, loosely bind off all sts.
Sew pocket lining in place on WS. Sew in sleeves.
Sew side and sleeve seams.
