THE FIXER!

A good friend of mine, Tony Parry, once showed me a rig that he’d developed for fishing the River Mersey. He’s the skipper of ‘Jensen’, and has been fishing the area for decades, moving the boat to the Mersey for the winter cod season, while fishing the summer from his home port of Rhyl.

As you may be aware, my good friend Roger Cooling has just put Pete Churchill’s old boat ‘Moonshine’ up here in Grimsby, so we’re regularly fishing the Humber these days, which is a very similar body of water to the Mersey.
