Just like to say I enjoyed your Mal Rose story. I love the underdog, hard grafter tale and he’s typical of many blokes who have shown an enduring devotion to the sport. In Mal’s case, he competed at a very high level but the passion for racing and the simple appreciation of the cars, with a high-level technical appreciation, is like so many club racers. Wander the pits at any historic or club meeting and they’re everywhere... old faces who were around way back when data logging was fantasy and lightweight meant holes and not carbon fibre.
