Officer shot, second pinned between cars during West Side traffic stop and ‘exchange of gunfire’ with suspect

CHICAGO — Two Chicago police officers were injured during a West Side traffic stop Monday night and one of those officers shot and wounded a man who had been in the vehicle that was pulled over, according to police.

The two officers are part of a tactical unit and were assigned to patrol the Harrison District
