Where did they come from?
The first (fig 1) involved a classic coming together in a multi-class club race. The Skiff (Yellow) rounds the windward mark, takes a quick glance downwind to see there is a clear lane, and hoists the kite. As all asymmetric sailors know, once it is up, there is a huge blind spot to leeward.
