Island hopping

With Covid restrictions taking its toll on scootering throughout the world, we decided to organise a trip of our own. We being myself – Stevie Adair – Craig Ballantyne and Kenny Rait. The destination for the Lambretta Club of Aberdeen’s tour was the Outer Hebrides, taking in Harris, Lewis, North Uist, Benbecula, South Uist, Eriskay and Barra.

Our starting and meeting point would be Ullapool, where we would get the first of four ferry journeys.

Firstly, we had to get to Ullapool, with me setting off from Glasgow, and Craig and Kenny making their way from Aberdeen. We all arrived within 20 minutes of one another, having travelled through some of Scotland’s best scenery to get there.
