Launching the MG TF

Kevin Jones was a MG Rover stalwart, and one of the last people to leave Longbridge in 2005, having been with the company since a young age. His experience led him on to a long and varied career, holding senior PR positions with other companies including Peugeot and DS. But he’s an MG man at heart, and he always has been.

We caught up with Kevin to find out what life was like in the MG Rover era, as the TF came to market.

“For the appeal of MG Rover Group, itself built on being a prospective and saleable going concern, while the Rover brand was already know and ‘appreciated’, it was the MG brand that was able to attract wider sales growth and liberate the company’s more exciting side,” he said.
