The power behind the Dexta

In 1957, Ford proclaimed the Major got a new workmate in the shape of the Fordson Dexta. There was much talk of the new stylish tractor with its latest first-class engineering and modern layout. It was positioned to attack the two-furrow tractor marketplace, filling a gap left by the much more powerful Fordson Major. It was up against stiff competition too, with Massey Ferguson announcing the new MF 65 at much the same time.
