Canaletto’s Venice Revisited

PAID ENTRY National Maritime Museum, London, opens on 1 April, rmg.co.uk

A world-famous collection of 24 paintings, each depicting views of 18th-century Venice, will be going on display together in London for the first time. Painted by the celebrated Italian artist Giovanni Antonio Canal (1697–1768), commonly known as Canaletto, the ‘Venetian views’ are normally housed at Woburn Abbey, but will now be going on loan to the National Maritime Museum thanks
