Plant out broad bean seedlings

Prepare a free-draining, sunny and weed-free bed to plant some broad beans. Rake in some blood, fish and bonemeal fertiliser to give the plants a boost. Plant the seedlings in a row 15-20cm apart. Dig a hole and firm each seedling in. Water the row well after planting. Space rows 45cm apart to allow access for picking.

If you have chosen a tall variety such as ‘Longpod’ or ‘Aquadulce Claudia’ the plants
