CHASING GOLDEN HOUR FINISHES

AFTER COMPLETING HIS 25TH WESTERN STATES ENDURANCE RUN IN 2006.

Tim Twietmeyer knew he was satisfied with pinning on a number. Along with joining the Western States Board in 2007, he also wanted to give back as much as he could to runners of the historic 100-miler.

“All I’d known at the race was running,” Twietmeyer said during lottery week for the 2022 race, in its 48th year. “I came back in 2007 and was wandering around, looking for a way to get involved,” he said.
