bx_console AMEK 9099
With bx_console AMEK 9099 Brainworx, aims to bring the sound and workflow of another legendary console to your DAW. We are, of course, talking about the 9098i Console, designed by Rupert Neve. The virtual channel strip uses Brainworx‘s patented Tolerance Modeling Technology, which emulates the behavior of a real analog console at the component level. This simulates 72 different mono channels, all of which sound slightly different, to replicate the tolerances of the original analog components.
The compressor is classically parameterized with Threshold, Ratio, Attack and Release, as well as Makeup Gain. While the Soft-Knee mode is ideal for transparent dynamics processing, the Hard-Knee characteristic is best suited for making drums and percussion crisper. In addition, there is a high-pass filter in the sidechain path. Other special features include the Auto-Release function and the Ambience switch. If you activate this, you can hear exactly how the compression affects the signal.
