n August 2021, we featured images of rare creatures that “two of Britain’s rarest animals”, the sand lizard and natterjack toad, were being threatened by development on the same stretch of coastline. He highlighted “significant shortcomings in British conservation procedures and legislation and the need to strengthen the powers of bodies concerned.”
