WAYS OF LIVING WITH HERITAGE ARCHITECTURE
Yoon Zoosun is an associate research fellow at Architecture & Urban Research Institute (auri). He pursues the life of a do.searcher, which is both a researcher and doer, just like Kim Soo-gyeom, a player and coach of Slam Dunk. He also enjoys the role of arranging for attractive field players. He has carried out field research focused on themes such as Public-Private Partnership Village Regeneration, Do It Together (DIT) Building Regeneration, Area Management, Area-Based Startups, Operator-oriented Regeneration, and online resident participation.
Lee Kwanghwan is an architect and a director of HAEAHN Architecture. He studied at University of Seoul and the Graduate School, and joined Haeahn Architecture in 2000 after working at Junglim Architecture. He is interested in the law and policy of architecture, city and maintenance, and teaches building regulation on courses at a number of universities, such as Seoul National University. He is currently a member of Presidential Commission on Architecture Policy and Seoul Public Building Deliberation Committee.
Choon Choi is a practicing architect based in Seoul and associate professor at the Seoul National University. His recently published projects include Maeil Innovation Center, La Cucina Namsan, and Sangha Farm. He participated in 2018 Venice Biennale as a curator and artist for the Korean Pavilion.
Hwang Doojin was born in Seoul, Korea in 1963. He studied architecture at Seoul National University and Yale University. Having worked in Korea, Japan and the US, he founded his own practice, Doojin Hwang Architects, in 2000. Hwang’s built projects include Castle of Skywalkers, Won & Won 63.5 and North Terrace. He has authored a number of books on architecture and urbanism, and lectured and exhibited extensively both in Korea and abroad.
