Taking action against OVARIAN CANCER

Each year, more than 7,000 women in the UK are handed the life-changing diagnosis of ovarian cancer. And each day, 11 lives are tragically lost to the disease.

Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, taking place throughout March, is fighting to change those unbearable figures.

Doctors, charities and scientists are striving for earlier diagnosis and better treatment, and, above all, they want to reach a world where no woman dies of ovarian cancer.

But there’s a long way to go. The signs and symptoms are difficult to recognise and currently two-thirds of women are diagnosed late. This can have devastating consequences as it means that the cancer is much harder to treat.
