Looking back at photos of rodders in the ‘50s, the apparel of choice was the plain white T-shirt. Rolled up sleeves to hold the pack of cigs and, when available, a pocket on the left chest area.

However, by the later part of that same era, a rebel of sorts from Southern California started to change that with his custom airbrushed shirts called “WEIRDO T’s.” Ed Big Daddy Roth was selling them at car shows and events.
