I’m about to get a modern banking lesson from a swing-dancing vegan. I’ve arrived at a heritage-listed building in South Melbourne to meet Xavier Shay, software engineer at tech company Ferocia, also the home of the neobank Up. Ferocia, an internet banking software company, was founded by two blokes called Dom Pym and Grant “Thomo” Thomas. Xavier worked for them about 10 years ago and he’s returned as part of the leadership team that’s driving Up’s success.
