Is it the state of the nation, or a dream for the nation?

Shortly after President Cyril Ramaphosa delivered his State of the Nation Address (SONA) in February, Agbiz and other business organisations released statements welcoming the pragmatic and business-friendly tone of the speech.

Since then, I have picked up a general frustration throughout society that can be summarised as follows: those words are nice, but where is the implementation?

Here are my key takeaways from Ramaphosa’s SONA:
