ESPRESSO BROWNIES
MAKES ABOUT 12-16 BROWNIES PREPARATION: 20 MIN BAKING: 30-35 MIN
BROWNIES
250g margarine
200g dark chocolate, chopped
250ml (1c) brown sugar
4 eggs
80ml ( 1/3c) cocoa powder
310ml (1¼c) cake flour
2,5ml (½t) baking powder
a pinch of salt
20ml (4t) strong instant coffee, mixed with 15ml (1T) hot water
TO FINISH
white chocolate shavings
Preheat the oven to 170°C. Line a 25 x 20cm oven-proof dish or cake tin with baking paper and grease with nonstick spray.
1 Brownies Melt the margarine in a saucepan or pot over medium heat. Add the chocolate and stir over low heat until melted. Immediately remove from the heat.
