Get away for… THE WEEKEND!
There are times when it is easy to forget the simple pleasures of motorhoming, but sitting with my wife, Jane, in our Swift Bolero and playing Uno with some of our long-term friends and fellow motorhomers, we are presented with a chance to remind ourselves.
It is twilight and, from our site on top of the hill above Tenby, we have a great view of a âblood moonâ as it rears its face above the horizon. Simultaneously, the lights of the town spring to life, seemingly as one, and the lighthouse on Caldey Island, which blinks three times.
Itâs over 40 years since I visited Dinbych y Pysgod (roughly translated as âplace of the fishâ). Distant childhood memories do not include the Welsh name, but do recall a very pleasant town huddled above a sandy beach, with a warren of streets. To that end, nothing much has changed.
