BOW TIE & POCKET SQUARE

YOU WILL NEED

■ 2x cotton fat quarters

■ Set of 19mm bow tie clasps

■ Lightweight iron-on interfacing

■ Loop turner or chopstick

■ Matching thread

■ Basic sewing kit

NOTES

■ Seam allowance is 1cm unless otherwise stated

■ Fat quarter = 50x55cm

CUTTING THE BOW TIE PIECES

Step one From the main fabric cut:

Bow: two 25x14cm

Bow Centre: one 4x8cm

Collar: one 5x55cm

Step two From the iron-on interfacing cut:

Bow: two 25x14cm

Bow Centre Interfacing: one 4x8cm

MAKING THE BOW TIE

Step one Apply the iron-on interfacing to the wrong side (WS) of the fabric following the manufacturer’s instructions.

Step two Take one the of the main fabric Bow pieces and measure the centre point on each short end. Fold the fabric lengthways to meet this middle point and press.01
