30 BEST MONTEREY SECRETS

Now that the dust has settled on the big macOS Monterey update and you have gotten into the flow of exploiting the epic new features, it is time to start exploring the numerous other, minor features that you might have missed. We’re talking about the stuff brushed over in the keynote and release notes – the little enhancements that are easily overlooked but could help improve your productivity and day-to-day use of your Mac. If you are using an Apple silicon M1 Mac, specifically a MacBook, then there are more great features to explore, such as AirPlay to Mac (stream content from any other Apple device), and Low Power Mode (go to System Preferences> Battery to turn it on). So without further ado, let’s start exploring the super-geeky, lesser-known features of macOS Monterey that you have probably missed.

01 TEST YOUR WI-FI

If your internet connection seems dodgy or you need to relay the strength of your signal, then you can do so within macOS Monterey by using the Terminal app. Open a new Terminal window and type networkQuality into the command prompt. After a few seconds you’ll be shown upload/download speeds, as well as a few other stats that may be useful.
