THE COST OF Going Green

as the threat of climate change becomes apparent, more people are adopting eco-friendly practices and building green homes as part of that initiative. This is no surprise, as the building sector is responsible for 25 per cent of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG) in Australia. Half of that comes from residential homes due to inefficient power lighting, heating, cooling and hot-water systems.

As a result, there’s an increase in demand for eco-friendly homes as they offer an array of benefits. Besides cutting down on the carbon footprint, they are energy-efficient, cost-effective, low-maintenance and a good long-term investment.
