Welcome to our newest column, Do-Si-Do, where we make one of the projects in our magazine.

I tried my hand at Julie Porter’s featured in this issue (see page 21). During the process question about dealing with mistakes—because I made a lot of mistakes! Some had to be ripped out and redone correctly. Many, however, survived the cut (no pun intended), and I’m not about to tell anyone where they are. You can simply admire the finished product, imperfections and all.
