“THREE YEARS AGO MY MUM gave me a necklace. I knew it wasn’t cheap because she wouldn’t tell me how much it cost. When I found out, I couldn’t believe it. I told her I could make it for a third of the price, and I did. A friend saw the piece and asked me to make her one. Next thing I knew I had orders from other friends and friends of friends – and Bijarr Designer Jewellery was born.”
It didn’t take long before Bijarr jewellery was being sold in fashion boutiques and Nikki was designing accessories for garments competing at the NRA National Fashion Awards. The label which she designed for won the category and her jewellery received
