Want fast running results? Look to your trainers. Running-shoe technology has come a long way since folk smashed PBs wearing minimalist plimsolls, and it’s right now that trainer tech is at its most exciting. It all started with patented foams that promised to give you more energy return for your efforts, then running-shoe brands started embedding lightweight carbon fibre plates into the midsole of trainers. The net result?
