Glyphosate reassessment on the cards in New Zealand
formal reassessment of glyphosate and whether it’s safe to use could be launched this year. The government is currently reviewing information about how the common herbicide is being used in New Zealand. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is reviewing the information provided by the public from more than 450 submissions made last year. The Soil & Health Association) provided information to the EPA as part of this review, including comprehensive data on how local councils are using glyphosate, and the evidence of significant health and biodiversity risks.
