People across the UK are being urged to grow their own fruit and veg, after research shows a hidden cocktail of pesticides in our shop-bought five a day.
Horticultural charity Garden Organic has made the call following shocking Government data analysed by Pesticide Action Network UK. It reveals a ‘dirty dozen’ lurking in our shopping baskets.
Nearly 90% of strawberries tested contained worrying multiple pesticide residues, as did over 80% of herbs and pre-packed salads.
