FERTILISATION

Fertilisation is carried out to supplement nutrients used by plants for growth or fruit production. This is done to avoid nutrient deficiency, which may affect the plants’ growth. Plants absorb different amounts of various nutrients at different growth stages to balance the needs for growth and development. There are several underlying aspects of fertilisation that needs to be addressed in order to avoid applying inappropriate fertilisers which would result in poor plant growth.
