Full throttle trouble

Q For a couple of years, whenever I gave my 2011 Hyundai Santa Fe 2.2 CRDi-R (D4HB engine) full throttle when towing a caravan, the engine warning light would start flashing and occasionally go into limp-mode. The handbook says that the DPF regeneration hadn’t completed.

On looking at the engine codes, P2002 showed – Diesel Particulate Filter Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1. It would clear later but would come back after a few weeks. I’d tried checking the pipes to the DPF pressure differential sensor to see if they were blocked but couldn’t remove them. Earlier this year, I decided to take the DPF off and give the manifold a clean as well. The inlet manifold bore was really choked up and down to a third of its original size. I’ve also fitted a Provent 200 crankcase ventilation filter.
