For devotees of the Massey Ferguson name Saturday, May 7 is the date to remember as 40 stunning and mostly original tractors and associated implements from Alan Bancroft’s collection near Skipton, North Yorkshire will go under the hammer with Cheffins.

Alan worked with Massey Fergusons throughout his life, so it was no surprise that he eventually started collecting them. “That began 15 to 20 years ago,” Alan said. “My wife had her cats and dogs, and I had my tractors. When I was at school, I always wanted to own a 35x, but father wouldn’t buy one.”
