“ALL WE WERE TRYING TO DO WAS CREATE A REALLY COOL EVENT.”

It exceeded expectations in every way. It was amazing really.

Looking back now, I underestimated just how great it would be to play four wonderful courses over four days in the inaugural Sandbelt Invitational, which is perhaps understandable. I grew up in Melbourne and live there now, so I’ve played Royal Melbourne, Yarra Yarra, Kingston Heath and Peninsula-Kingswood so many times. But to play them one after the other and have them all set-up beautifully for tournament golf – they were all showing off–was such a pleasure.
