On 25 January 2005, fire crews raced to Marple Square in the St Ann’s district of Nottingham.
Flames were spreading throughout an abandoned block of flats.
The burning building was set to be demolished, but with the gas and electricity yet to be switched off, the block had become a well-known squat for the city’s homeless population.
Firefighters tackled the blaze.
But as they scouted the building, they discovered the burnt body of a young woman.
Only, she’d been strangled prior to the fire.
