Fordson Super Dexta
Q I have a Super Dexta that has been neglected for a number of years and in need of restoration. One of the main problems was that both the clutch and bell housing were soaked in oil, needing the replacement of both clutch plates and also renewal of the input shaft oil seals.
My problem is how to release the spring holding the thrust bearing in place. The manual explains as follows: “Lift the inner end of the return spring away from the clutch fork, rotate the fork towards the front of the clutch housing and withdraw the release bearing and hub assembly.”
