I read the recent article about Botswana’s import ban on vegetables (FW, 4 February) with interest.
According to the report, Botswana’s Economic Inclusion Act, Section 25 (1), basically obliges private sector value chain players, such as retailers and agro-processors, to procure vegetables from local farmers.
