Brasuka is rooted in a 20-year-old friendship,” Eckert recalls from Brasuka’s Texan HQ. “When he saw how much I loved it, he asked, ‘Do you want to start a band and play Sérgio Mendes?’ I said, ‘Absolutely!’”
