    Four scenic picnic spots

    1. Camp Cove, Sydney: Located adjacent to the Sydney Harbour National Park is one of the harbour’s most charming sandy beaches. Grab your picnic basket and seek out a shady spot under a tree on a grassy knoll nearby. When you’re ready to cool off, take a dip in the turquoise waters. Swim a little way out and you’ll catch a glimpse of the city skyline in the distance. Make a day of it and travel there by ferry from Circular Quay to nearby Watson’s Bay Wharf, an eight-minute walk away.

    2. Home to the Western Australian Botanic Garden, with more than 3000 species of the state’s flora, this expansive park is an ideal picnic spot. With such close proximity to the CBD, it’s hard to believe that two thirds of Kings Park is bushland. Meander along the bushland nature trail and marvel at the abundance of native wildflowers, trees and birdlife.
